In Sigean the Black-capped squirrel monkeys live on an island which has a surface area related to the size of our little monkey that weighs only 800 grams. For each Squirrel Monkey, the 3606 square feet (335 square meters) of the island would be the equivalent to Man, of a 42,70 acre (17,28 hectare) adventure playground. The palm trees and several species of trees provide a natural environment for the Squirrel monkeys, where the need to ‘hide’ and search for food, such as buds and insects, is possible.
