The name of this Boa comes from the fact that it wraps around its preys and kill them through constriction process inducing blood circulatory arrest. It is an impressive nocturnal predator, which hunts both on the ground and in the trees. This hunting mode is not unique and can be observed in several other non-venomous snakes.
