The Réserve Africaine de Sigean can be discovered BY CAR for about 1 hour, and ON FOOT for about 2h30. (Must visit with your own vehicle: car, camper van or bus. Convertibles, motorcycles and bicycles are not allowed).
At the very least, your visit will last between three and four hours, so it’s best to plan for the whole day!
Safari by car
On a 7.5 km route, your vehicle will take you through the three parks of the African bush, home to Red Buffalo, Impala, Zebra, Springbok, Ostrich, Giraffe….
You will then continue to the Asiatic Black Bears and Lions Parks. Your safari ends after the three parks of the African Savannah, where you can discover White Rhinoceros, Sitatungas, Warthogs, Somali Wild Asses…
If you haven’t seen all the animals, we strongly recommend you repeat the safari at another time of day.
Park on foot
After parking your vehicle in the parking lots in the center of the Park, the walk will take you along the ponds where Greater Flamingos, Pink-backed Pelicans and White Storks regularly breed…
You’ll discover the many viewing parks to observe the African antelopes, Chimpanzees, Cheetahs, African Wild Dogs…
Meet fascinating reptiles from Africa and Madagascar in the vivarium.
You’ll enter one of Europe’s largest immersion aviaries, where Sacred Ibises, African Spoonbills, Abdim’s Storks, Marabou Storks… form large mixed colonies like those found in African wetlands.
