The Réserve Africaine de Sigean can be visited in two stages.
First of all, you’ll set off on a SAFARI in your own vehicle through the African bush and savannah (buffalo, lion, wildebeest, giraffe, rhinoceros, zebra…). Once you’ve parked your vehicle in one of the parking lots in the center of the park, you can continue your visit on foot (flamingos, cheetahs, dromedaries, chimpanzees, meerkats, chameleons…).

VIP safari by minibus
Picked up on arrival by one of our guides, climb aboard one of our minibuses and set off to meet the animals of the self-drive safari.
Extra charge of €115 per minibus. Maximum 15 people. Duration approx. 1 hour. Entrance tickets extra.

“We were very pleasantly surprised by Blandine who was able to answer all our questions and surprise us. She was very attentive to our children and impressed us with her knowledge. She talks passionately about her work and the park, which seemed to be her home! The fact that we went by bus ahead of the other vehicles was good, as I found the wait in the car quite long, and we felt safe being in our own vehicle. I don’t regret this activity at all. I would even have liked the VIP tour to continue on foot around the site, so that we could have shared an experience in an enclosure or seen the internal structures like the veterinary clinic for example, why not in the future? “Our visit to La Réserve with my 2 little girls was wonderful thanks to Morgane, our “VIP” guide, who was very pleasant and full of teaching. She captivated the 2 children (and us) throughout the visit with her approach and knowledge. Watching my 8-year-old daughter tell her parents all the details was enough to convince us that the plan was a success. Even if the visit came at a cost, it was well worth it. “It changes everything: it’s not at all the same charm, because we can really immerse ourselves more in the “wild” life of the different animals present on the 7.5km minibus circuit, thanks to the invaluable information on the different species present, including those we think we know. Subtly distilled during our visit, all this information wasn’t given en masse or thrown out mechanically: Elisa knew how to bring this visit to life by (re)teaching us lots of things or telling us lots of things about each of the animals, specific to the reserve or in general, by answering our questions… It was incredibly rich and much more enjoyable than our first solo visit to the reserve a few years ago. It’s also thanks to Elisa’s talent, her teaching skills and her in-depth knowledge of the reserve’s animals that this experience with the whole family (there were 5 of us on a private tour) was a wonderful interlude during our visit to your beautiful reserve!
