Blue-bellied Roller
Coracias cyanogaster

Like most other African vultures, the White-headed Vulture declines at a spectacular and disturbing rate. Its populations have lost nearly 90% of their numbers since the mid-1990s and this decline does not seem to want to stop, causing fear of the worst for the future of the species. The reasons come mainly from the intensification of agriculture and livestock in Africa, which makes disappear the big wild ungulates, alters habitat, causes disturbance and conflicts with wild carnivores that are intentionally poisoned by herders.
