Northern bald ibis

Despite its featherless head, which gave it its other name of Northern Bald Ibis, in adulthood this Ibis wears narrow feathers projecting from the back of the head and neck, like a dark ruff. Nowadays this bird is endangered and under conservation programs such as EEP.
